Basic Strategies
Pot Odds Strategy
Note: Pot Odds is applicable only to early tournament stages and Limit games. The Pot Odds does not consider stack size. It just simply looks at your cards and compares the odds of improving versus pot payout. In mid to late tournament stages, you should base your decisions on Bet Pattern, Fold-To-Raise Big Bet Calling and Raising, and Style indicators.
Based on strategies outlined by David Sklansky, Dan Harrington, Doyle Brunson
Push/Fold Strategy
Note: Push/Fold should generally only be used when you are short stacked. It is a risky pre-flop All-IN move intended for when you have insufficient chips for post-flop play. When playing with mid to large stack, you should base your decisions on Bet Pattern, Fold-To-Raise Big Bet Calling and Raising, and Style indicators.
